MEGAMIX Gidro Stop Aqua (10 kg) — a specialized hydro-insulating material designed for high protection against moisture and water, widely used in construction and renovation works. Produced by MEGAMIX, this product stands out for its high quality and reliability. Gidro Stop Aqua effectively protects concrete, brick, cement-based surfaces, gypsum board, and other construction materials from water penetration. It is particularly ideal for use in humid environments—bathrooms, kitchens, basements, water reservoirs, exterior walls, and other areas. The material forms a thin yet durable hydro-insulating layer that completely prevents water seepage and ensures long-lasting surface durability. Its ecologically clean composition makes it safe for use in both interior and exterior applications.

Features:

  • Type: Dry hydro-insulating mixture (water-based)
  • Packaging: 10 kg
  • Composition: Cement, polymer additives, quartz sand, special waterproofing agents, acrylic additives
  • Application: Protects concrete, brick, cement-based surfaces, gypsum board, and other materials from moisture and water; used in bathrooms, kitchens, basements, water reservoirs, exterior walls, and other humid environments
  • Compatibility: Works well with tile adhesives, plasters, paints, and other finishing materials
  • Consumption: 1.5–2.5 kg/m² (for a 1 mm layer thickness, depending on surface type and application method)
  • Drying time:
    • Initial drying: 24–48 hours at +20°C
    • Full drying: 7–14 days (depending on conditions)
  • Application temperature: +5°C to +30°C
  • Operating temperature: -30°C to +70°C
  • Features: High waterproofing, acrylic-based strength, resistance to mechanical stress, alkali resistance, ease of use
  • Layer thickness: 1–4 mm (recommended)

Advantages:

  • High hydro-insulation efficiency: Completely prevents water and moisture penetration, reliably protects construction structures.
  • Acrylic-based strength: Thanks to acrylic additives, the coating becomes more elastic and resistant to mechanical stress.
  • Versatility: Used for interior and exterior work, on various surfaces (concrete, brick, gypsum board) and in humid environments, including water reservoirs.
  • Ecological purity: Contains no harmful substances or solvents, safe for use in living spaces.
  • Ease of application: The dry mixture is easily mixed with water and applied with a brush, roller, or trowel.
  • Cost-effectiveness: Optimal consumption (1.5–2.5 kg/m²) provides savings when processing large areas.
  • Durability: Resistant to alkaline environments, temperature fluctuations, and UV rays, maintaining coating quality for a long time.

Application specifics:

  • Purpose: Used to protect concrete, brick, gypsum board, cement-based surfaces, and other materials from water. Applied in bathrooms, kitchens, basements, water reservoirs, exterior walls, and other humid environments.
  • Surface preparation: The surface must be clean, dry, free of dust, grease, and damage. Cracks and defects are repaired beforehand. If the surface is porous, it is treated with a fungicide.
  • Preparation: The dry mixture is mixed with water in the indicated ratio (typically 0.2–0.25 liters of water per 1 kg of mixture) until a homogeneous mass is obtained. The prepared mixture must be used within 1–2 hours.
  • Application: Applied with a brush, roller, or trowel in a 1–4 mm layer, either single or double. The next layer is applied after the previous one has dried (approximately 24–48 hours). Work is carried out at temperatures between +5°C and +30°C and air humidity below 80%. Avoid direct sunlight and drafts.
  • Maintenance: Tools used should be immediately rinsed with water while the mixture is still wet. The applied layer is protected from moisture and mechanical stress for 7–14 days. Further finishing work (tile installation, plastering) is carried out after full drying.
  • Safety measures: Work in a well-ventilated area, use protective gloves, goggles, and a respirator. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. If contact occurs, rinse skin or eyes thoroughly with water.

Storage conditions: Store in a dry, cool place protected from direct sunlight, at temperatures between +5°C and +30°C. Shelf life—12 months from the date of manufacture.
