MEGAMIX Beton Kontakt (10 kg) This is a high-quality adhesive primer designed for preparing smooth and non-absorbent surfaces before applying plaster, putty, and adhesive mixtures. Produced by MEGAMIX, a company known for reliable construction mixtures. The primer forms a strong adhesive layer ('bridge'), ensuring reliable adhesion of plaster materials to concrete, reinforced concrete, ceramic tiles, or old coatings. This product is primarily used for interior work but can be used for exterior applications if the manufacturer’s recommendations are followed. Thanks to quartz sand and polymer additives, MEGAMIX Beton Kontakt creates a matte surface that significantly improves adhesion of subsequent layers on smooth surfaces.

Features:

  • Type: Ready-to-use adhesive primer
  • Packaging: 10 kg
  • Composition: Polymer dispersion, quartz sand, modifying additives, water
  • Application: Preparing smooth and non-absorbent surfaces (concrete, reinforced concrete, ceramic tiles, old paint coatings) before applying plaster (including gypsum), putty, tile adhesive, or decorative coatings
  • Compatibility: Compatible with gypsum, cement, and polymer plasters, as well as tile adhesives
  • Consumption: 0.2–0.35 kg/m² (depending on surface absorbency and smoothness)
  • Drying time:
    • Non-stick state: at +20°C and normal humidity — 2–3 hours
    • Full drying: 12–24 hours (depending on conditions)
  • Application temperature: +5°C to +30°C
  • Use temperature: -20°C to +70°C
  • Color: Light grey (for visual inspection of treated areas)
  • Features: Solvent-free, vapor-permeable, alkali-resistant, creates a matte surface to enhance adhesion
  • Density: ~1.5 kg/l

Application features:

  • Purpose: Used for preparing smooth and non-absorbent bases (concrete, reinforced concrete, old paint coatings, ceramic tiles, glass) before applying gypsum or cement plasters, putties, tile adhesives, or decorative coatings. Applied for interior work in residential, commercial, and public spaces, as well as for exterior work under direct protection from precipitation.
  • Surface preparation: The surface must be clean, dry, free of dust, grease, voids, or weak old coatings. Metallic elements must be treated with an anti-corrosion agent. If the surface is moldy, it must be cleaned and treated with a fungicide.
  • Preparation: The primer is ready for use. Before application, thoroughly mix the contents of the bucket to ensure even distribution of quartz sand. Do not dilute with water or mix with other materials.
  • Application: Apply with a brush, roller, or special spatula in an even layer. It is recommended to apply a single layer, avoiding excessive thickening. For large areas, a properly adjusted sprayer can be used. Work is carried out at temperatures between +5°C and +30°C and air humidity below 70%. Avoid drafts and direct sunlight during application and drying.
  • Maintenance: Tools used for application should be rinsed immediately with clean water while the primer is still wet. The applied layer should be protected from moisture, dust, and mechanical damage for 12–24 hours. Subsequent finishing work (plastering, putting, or tiling) should only be carried out after the primer has fully dried.
  • Safety measures: Work in a well-ventilated area, wear protective gloves, and use protective goggles if necessary. Avoid contact of the primer with eyes and skin. In case of contact, rinse skin or eyes thoroughly with plenty of water.
