Full Description

MEGAMIX Beton Contact (5 kg) — a high-quality adhesive primer designed for professional preparation of smooth and non-absorbent surfaces. Produced by MEGAMIX, this product is an excellent example of reliability and efficiency in construction materials. The primer ensures strong adhesion of plaster, putty, or tile adhesive to monolithic concrete, reinforced concrete, ceramic tile, glass, or old paint coatings. Thanks to its special formula containing quartz sand and polymer additives, it creates a textured surface that guarantees reliable bonding of subsequent layers. Primarily used for interior work, it can also be applied in protected outdoor conditions. MEGAMIX Beton Contact stands out as a crucial and reliable step in surface preparation for any renovation project.

Features:

  • Type: Adhesive primer (ready for use)
  • Packaging: 5 kg
  • Composition: Polymer dispersion, quartz sand, modifying additives, water
  • Application: Preparing smooth and non-absorbent surfaces (concrete, reinforced concrete, ceramic tile, glass, old paint coatings) before applying gypsum, cement, or polymer plasters, putties, tile adhesives, or decorative coatings
  • Compatibility: Compatible with gypsum, cement, and polymer plasters, as well as tile adhesives
  • Consumption: 0.2–0.35 kg/m² (depending on surface smoothness and absorbency)
  • Drying time:
    • Non-adhesive state: at +20°C and normal humidity — 2–3 hours
    • Full drying: 12–24 hours (depending on conditions)
  • Application temperature: +5°C to +30°C
  • Operating temperature: -20°C to +70°C
  • Color: Pink (for visual inspection of applied areas)
  • Features: Solvent-free, vapor-permeable, alkali-resistant, creates a textured surface to improve adhesion
  • Density: Approximately 1.5 kg/l

Advantages:

  • Excellent adhesion: Ensures strong adhesion of plaster and adhesive even to the smoothest surfaces like monolithic concrete, ceramic tile, or glass, preventing coating delamination.
  • Convenience of use: Delivered ready for use, requires no dilution with water or mixing with other materials, saving time and simplifying the process.
  • Versatility: Works effectively with a wide range of materials, including gypsum and cement plasters, putties, and tile adhesives, serving as a universal solution for various surfaces.
  • Ecological purity: Contains no harmful substances or solvents, safe for use in living spaces, and supports a healthy microclimate due to vapor permeability.
  • Visual inspection: Pink color allows easy tracking of uniform application and prevents missed spots.
  • Economic efficiency: Low consumption (0.2–0.35 kg/m²) makes it cost-effective for medium and small projects.
  • Durability: Alkali resistance ensures long-term strength of the coating and high-quality results.

Application features:

  • Purpose: Used to prepare smooth and non-absorbent surfaces (concrete, reinforced concrete, ceramic tile, glass, old paint coatings) before applying gypsum or cement plasters, putties, tile adhesives, or decorative coatings. Applied for interior work in residential, commercial, and public buildings, as well as for protected outdoor work.
  • Surface preparation: The surface must be clean, dry, free of dust, grease, flaking, or weak old coatings. Metallic parts are treated with an anti-corrosion agent. If the surface is moldy, it is cleaned and treated with a fungicide.
  • Preparation: The primer is ready for use. Before application, the contents of the bucket should be thoroughly mixed to ensure even distribution of quartz sand. It is not diluted with water or mixed with other materials.
  • Application: Applied with a brush, roller, or special spatula in an even layer. It is recommended to apply a single layer, avoiding excessive thickening. For large areas, a properly adjusted sprayer can be used. Work is carried out at temperatures between +5°C and +30°C and air humidity below 70%. During application and drying, avoid drafts and direct sunlight.
  • Maintenance: Tools are immediately washed with clean water while the primer is still wet. The applied layer is protected from moisture, dust, and mechanical damage for 12–24 hours. Subsequent finishing work (plastering, putting, or tiling) should only be carried out after the primer has fully dried.
  • Safety measures: Work in a well-ventilated area, use protective gloves, and, if necessary, protective goggles. Avoid contact of the primer with eyes and skin. In case of contact, rinse thoroughly with water.
