MEGAMIX Beton Contact (2 kg) — a high-quality adhesive primer designed for professional preparation of smooth and non-absorbent surfaces. This product is part of the reliable construction materials line of the MEGAMIX company and provides an ideal balance of quality and efficiency. The primer ensures strong adhesion of plaster, putty, or tile adhesive to complex surfaces such as concrete, reinforced concrete, ceramic tile, glass, or old paint coatings. The special formula with quartz sand and polymer additives creates a textured surface, ensuring reliable adhesion of subsequent layers. Primarily used for interior work, it can also be applied to outdoor areas protected from direct rain. MEGAMIX Beton Contact stands out as a crucial step in surface preparation for any renovation project.

Features:

  • Type: Adhesive primer (ready for use)
  • Packaging: 2 kg
  • Composition: Polymer dispersion, quartz sand, special modifying additives, water
  • Application: Preparing smooth surfaces (concrete, reinforced concrete, ceramic tile, glass, and old paint coatings) before applying gypsum, cement, or polymer plasters, putties, tile adhesives, and decorative coatings
  • Compatibility: Perfectly compatible with gypsum and cement plasters, as well as tile adhesives
  • Consumption: 0.2–0.35 kg/m² (depending on surface smoothness and porosity)
  • Drying time:
    • Non-adhesive state: 2–3 hours at +20°C and normal humidity
    • Full drying: 12–24 hours (depending on conditions)
  • Application temperature: +5°C to +30°C
  • Operating temperature: -20°C to +70°C
  • Color: Light pink (for easy control of treated areas)
  • Features: Solvent-free, vapor-permeable, resistant to alkaline environments, creates texture to improve adhesion
  • Density: Approximately 1.5 kg/l

Advantages:

  • Excellent adhesion: Ensures reliable adhesion of plaster and adhesive even on smooth surfaces (monolithic concrete, ceramic tile, glass), eliminating the risk of coating delamination.
  • User-friendliness: Ready for use, does not require dilution with water or mixing with other materials, saving time and simplifying the process.
  • Versatility: Compatible with a wide range of materials: gypsum and cement plasters, putties, and tile adhesives, serving as a universal solution for various surfaces.
  • Ecological purity: Contains no harmful substances or solvents, safe for use in living spaces, and supports a healthy microclimate due to vapor permeability.
  • Visual control: Light pink color allows easy monitoring of even application and prevents missed spots.
  • Economic efficiency: Low consumption (0.2–0.35 kg/m²) makes it cost-effective for small and medium-sized projects.
  • Durability: Resistance to alkaline environments ensures long-term strength of the coating.

Application features:

  • Purpose: Used to prepare smooth and non-absorbent surfaces (concrete, reinforced concrete, ceramic tile, glass, old paint coatings) before applying plaster, putty, tile adhesive, or decorative coatings. Applied for interior work in residential, commercial, and public buildings, as well as for outdoor work protected from rain.
  • Surface preparation: The surface must be clean, dry, free of dust, grease, loose areas, or weak old coatings. Metallic parts are treated with an anti-corrosion agent. If the surface is porous, it is cleaned and treated with a fungicide.
  • Preparation: The primer is ready for use. Before application, the contents of the container should be thoroughly mixed to ensure even distribution of quartz sand. Do not dilute with water or mix with other materials.
  • Application: Applied with a brush, roller, or special spatula in an even layer. It is recommended to apply a single layer, avoiding excessive thickening. For large areas, a properly adjusted sprayer can be used. Work is carried out at temperatures between +5°C and +30°C and air humidity below 70%. During application and drying, avoid drafts and direct sunlight.
  • Maintenance: Tools are immediately washed with clean water while the primer is still wet. The applied layer is protected from moisture, dust, and mechanical damage for 12–24 hours. Subsequent finishing work (plastering, putting, or tiling) should only be carried out after the primer has fully dried.
  • Safety measures: Work in a well-ventilated area, use protective gloves and goggles if necessary. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.
