ELERON C-02 Portland cement-based, polymer-modified reinforced tile adhesive designed for bonding ceramic tiles, ceramic granite, mosaic, and natural stone (including granite) to walls and floors. Suitable for interior and exterior work, high-moisture areas (pools, bathrooms), facades, terraces, balconies, and ‘warm floor’ systems. Used on concrete, cement-sand, brick surfaces, wet and complex non-deformable surfaces (drywall, old tile after special preparation). Provides high adhesion, moisture and cold resistance, and prevents tile slippage. Ecologically safe, compliant with ISO 9001:2001 standard.
Features
- Type: Reinforced tile adhesive (C1T class, GOST R 56387).
- Composition: Portland cement, quartz sand, polymer additives, mineral fillers.
- Bag weight: 25 kg.
- Color: Grey.
- Consumption: 2.5–5 kg/m² (depending on tile size, surface type, and trowel tooth size).
- Layer thickness: 2–10 mm.
- Shelf life: 12 months in a dry place.
- Tile adjustment time: 15–20 minutes.
- Setting time:
- Walking: 24 hours.
- Full curing: 28 days.
- Working temperature: From +5°C to +35°C.
- Adhesion strength: ≥1.0 MPa.
- Frost resistance: At least 40 cycles.
- Features:
- High adhesion on complex surfaces (drywall, old tile).
- Moisture and cold resistance, suitable for pools and water reservoirs.
- Resistance to tile slippage, possibility of top-to-bottom application.
- Compatibility with ‘warm floor’ system (up to 50°C).
- Suitable for tiles up to 60x60 cm and large-format tiles with additional adhesive layer.
Advantages
- Reliable holding of heavy materials like ceramic granite and granite.
- Resistance to moisture, cold, and temperature fluctuations.
- Economical consumption and high plasticity.
- Ability to work on complex surfaces (drywall, primed old tile).
- Ecological safety.
Application
- Bonding ceramic tiles, ceramic granite, mosaic, and natural stone to walls and floors.
- Decorating pools, bathrooms, kitchens, facades, terraces, and balconies.
- Use in ‘warm floor’ systems.
- Limitations:
- Not used on wooden, metal, or plastic surfaces without special preparation.
- Not applied at temperatures below +5°C or in the rain.
- For tiles larger than 60x60 cm, additional adhesive application on the back or use of C2 class adhesive is recommended.
Application instructions
- Clean the surface of dust, dirt, grease, and old coatings. Ensure the substrate strength (≥15 MPa) and absence of cracks, pits, or weak spots.
- For dust removal and improved adhesion, treat the surface with deep-penetrating primer (e.g., ELERON or acrylic primer). For complex surfaces (old tile, drywall), use adhesion primer with quartz filler. Allow primer to dry for 12 hours.
- Mix the adhesive with clean water (0.24–0.26 L per 1 kg, 6–6.5 L per 25 kg) to a homogeneous state using a drill mixer. Let the mixture rest for 5–10 minutes, then remix.
- Apply adhesive with a notched trowel (6–8 mm teeth for ceramic, 10–12 mm for ceramic granite). For large-format tiles, apply a thin adhesive layer to the back.
- Press and level the tile within 15–20 minutes.
- Remove excess adhesive with a damp cloth before it sets.
- Apply load to joints after 24 hours on walls and 48 hours on floors. Turn on the ‘warm floor’ system after 28 days at 25–27°C.
- Avoid drafts, direct sunlight, and temperature fluctuations for 24 hours.
- Wash tools immediately after use with water.
- Store in a dry place, out of reach of children.
