MEGAMIX Beton Kontakt (5 kg) is a high-quality adhesive primer designed for professional preparation of smooth and non-absorbent surfaces. This product, manufactured by MEGAMIX, is an excellent example of reliability and efficiency in the field of construction materials. The primer ensures strong adhesion of plaster, putty, or tile adhesive to complex surfaces such as monolithic concrete, reinforced concrete, ceramic tile, glass, or old paint coatings. Thanks to a special formula containing quartz sand and polymer additives, the primer creates a mesh-like structure on the surface, which guarantees reliable adhesion of subsequent layers. Mainly used for interior work, this primer can also be used outdoors provided it is protected from direct rain. MEGAMIX Beton Kontakt stands out as an important and reliable stage in surface preparation in any repair project.

Features:

  • Type: Adhesive primer (ready to use)
  • Packaging: 5 kg
  • Composition: Polymer dispersion, quartz sand, modifying additives, water
  • Application: Preparing smooth and non-absorbent surfaces (concrete, reinforced concrete, ceramic tile, glass, old paint coatings) before applying gypsum, cement, or polymer plaster, putty, tile adhesives, or decorative coatings
  • Compatibility: Compatible with gypsum, cement, and polymer plasters, as well as tile adhesives
  • Consumption: 0.2–0.35 kg/m² (depending on the smoothness and absorbency of the surface)
  • Setting time:
    • Non-adhesive state: 2–3 hours at +20°C and normal humidity
    • Complete drying: 12–24 hours (depending on conditions)
  • Application temperature: from +5°C to +30°C
  • Operating temperature: from -20°C to +70°C
  • Color: Pink (for visual control of applied areas)
  • Properties: Solvent-free, vapor-permeable, resistant to alkaline environments, forms a mesh surface to increase adhesion
  • Density: Approximately 1.5 kg/l

Advantages:

  • Excellent adhesion: Ensures strong adhesion of plaster and adhesives even on the smoothest surfaces such as monolithic concrete, ceramic tile, or glass, preventing coating delamination.
  • Ease of use: Supplied ready to use, does not require dilution or mixing, which saves time and simplifies the work process.
  • Versatility: Works successfully with a wide range of materials such as gypsum and cement plaster, putty, tile adhesives, making it a universal solution for various surfaces.
  • Environmental friendliness: Does not contain harmful substances and solvents, allowing safe use in living rooms and supporting a healthy microclimate due to vapor permeability.
  • Visual control: The pink color helps easily monitor the evenness of the coating on applied areas, preventing omissions.
  • Cost-effectiveness: Low consumption (0.2–0.35 kg/m²) ensures economy for medium and small-sized projects.
  • Durability: Thanks to resistance to alkaline environments, the coating maintains its strength for a long time, providing a quality result.

Application instructions:

  • Purpose: Used to prepare smooth and non-absorbent surfaces (concrete, reinforced concrete, ceramic tile, glass, old paint coatings) before applying gypsum or cement plaster, putty, tile adhesives, or decorative coatings. Used in interior work in residential, commercial, and public buildings, as well as outdoors when protected from rain.
  • Surface preparation: The surface must be clean, dry, free of dust, grease, loose particles, or sticky old coatings. Metal parts are treated with an anti-corrosion agent. If there is mold, the surface is cleaned and treated with a fungicide.
  • Preparation: The primer is ready to use. Before use, it is necessary to thoroughly mix the contents of the can so that the quartz sand is evenly distributed. Do not dilute with water and do not mix with other materials.
  • Application: Apply in a thin, even layer with a brush, roller, or special trowel. It is recommended to apply in one layer, avoiding excessive thickening. For large areas, a properly adjusted sprayer can be used. Work should be carried out at a temperature from +5°C to +30°C and a humidity of less than 70%. Ventilation must be provided during application and drying, and protection from direct sunlight.
  • Maintenance: Used tools are washed with clean water before the primer dries. The applied layer is protected from moisture, dust, and mechanical impacts for 12–24 hours. Subsequent finishing work (applying plaster, putty, or adhesive) is performed only after the primer is completely dry.
  • Precautions: Work in a well-ventilated area, use protective gloves and, if necessary, safety goggles. Avoid contact of the primer with eyes and skin. In case of contact, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water.
