Application

Application procedure
- Surface preparation:
- Clean GB/GFB joints of dust and grease.
- Apply primer (e.g., KNAUF Tiefengrund) and let dry (10–30 minutes).
- If necessary, trim joint edges for leveling.
- Plaster application:
- Apply the first layer of plaster (e.g., KNAUF Uniflott or Fugen) to the joint with a trowel.
- Ensure the plaster evenly fills the joint.
- Tape application:
- Cut the KNAUF-Kurt tape to the required length with a knife or utility knife.
- Press the tape lightly onto the plastered joint and smooth it with a trowel, removing excess.
- Ensure no air bubbles remain under the tape.
- Finishing:
- After the first layer dries (4–6 hours), apply a second layer of plaster for smoothing.
- After full drying (12–24 hours), sand the surface with fine-grit sandpaper.
- Prime the surface before painting or wallpapering.
